Lamb Ragu

  • 500 g Lamb Mince
  • 2 Tbsp. Garlic Oil
  • 100 g Brown Onion
  • 2 tsp. Mint (Dried)
  • 2 tsp. Oregano (Dried)
  • tsp. Chilli Flakes (Dried)
  • 800 g Tinned Tomatoes (Chopped) 2 x 400g Tins
  • 1 Tbsp. Strawberry Chilli Jam * See note
  • 3 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)


  • Dice the onion.
  • Heat the garlic oil gently in a medium saucepan. Add the onion to the pan, cook stirring for 2 minutes until onion becomes transparent.
  • Add the mint, oregano, chilli, stir it again. Add the lamb, increasing the heat cook for 2-3 mins breaking the meat up as it cooks.
  • Add the tomatoes, jam, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  • Bring to a gentle boil, reduce heat, partially cover with the saucepan lid and cook for 20 mins.


Any berry jam will work in this recipe, Raspberry or Blackberry are both nice.
