About No Spoons
Good food. Real life. Fewer spoons.
No Spoons to Cook creates practical food resources for people whose capacity can change from day to day.
That includes people living with chronic illness, disability, pain, fatigue, neurodivergence, executive dysfunction or mental illness, as well as carers, busy households and anyone who needs food to require a little less effort.
You should not need more energy to eat well. You need food support that meets you where you are today.

The name
Why No Spoons?
It’s a bit of an inside joke. Spoonies will get the reference.
It’s all good and well to talk about the value of nutrition in managing our health. The practicality of having the spoons to do it is another story. Foodies and spoonies Kerry and Leigh know this dance well.
For many of us, food takes planning, shopping, unpacking, chopping, standing, cooking and cleaning — and that can be a lot, especially when our capacity is limited.
No Spoons exists to help make that feel more manageable.

Our story
Where No Spoons to Cook came from
No Spoons to Cook was co-created by Leigh Ross and Kerry. It began as a way to share keto-friendly recipes and ideas, shaped by our own experiences of living with chronic illness and fluctuating capacity.
The project paused when life changed, but the idea never really left.
Over time, it became clearer: food support needs to work when life does not.
From keto to something broader
No Spoons started with a focus on keto, but it has grown into something broader. We still love low-carb recipes, but now we look at the bigger picture and ask:
What would make eating achievable today?
Because good food is not about following a perfect plan. It is about finding what works for you, right now.
Food support should meet you where you are today.
Not where you were yesterday.
Not where you think you should be.
Today is enough.
Let’s find something for the energy you’ve got today.
